U.K. households injected GBP 5.7 bln into housing equity in the three months to September, compared with GBP 2 bln in the last quarter.Q2 data had shown that repayments exceeded new borrowing for the first time in a decade and the trend continued in Q3. Withdrawals as a percentage of post-tax income amounted to -2.4% in Q3, compared to -0.8% in Q2.
