Are The Spreads Fixed or Variable?

The interbank forex market has variable spreads. If you are trading fixed spreads you are in effect paying for an insurance premium—unless you trade only around news events when markets tend to be more volatile—since fixed spreads are typically higher than variable spreads. Is it worth it? That depends on your trading pattern. (But if you choose fixed spreads, be sure to ask the next two questions too.)

………….. Has variable spreads. As in the interbank forex market, spreads will widen dynamically during times when liquidity is tight. This widening occurs typically around news announcements or off-market hours. ………… allows you to trade all weekend, but spreads will be significantly wider during weekends when liquidity is almost non-existent.

Forex Trading, Where Do Customes Go

Where Do You Go If You Want To Trade Currency?

The Forex market taps into the currency and other financial markets such as the stocks from all over the world to make possible a tremendous amount of money to exchange hands everyday. Forex market closely resembles the stock market in that it involves buying and selling of a financial product (world currencies in this case) but it takes to a much grander level of transaction in a given day. Financial institutions such as the Deutsche Bank, UBS, Citigroup, HSBC, Barclays, Merrill Lynch, JP Morgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, ABN Amro, Morgan Stanley are the major players in this industry plus many more.

It will be in your great interest to contact any of these financial institutions or broker firms if you want to try trading currencies. The Forex market is indeed open for everybody but you should not forget to learn the basic things involved in trading currencies before joining. At least you should have an idea of which currency to convert your money into before starting to trade.

The most active players in this industry are International banks who have a lot of reserves from the businesses and depositors like you who put your money under their care. Trading currencies is one of the strategies these banks employ to earn interest from your deposits. You don’t have to look far to get the currency you are interested in – maybe for a travel. Your own local bank may just have the currency you’re looking for. However, if they are not involved in Forex, they most likely will not have foreign currency at their disposal. You can ask your bank’s manager or you can read their public information sheets that they publish on a quarterly basis to find out if you can trade currencies with your bank.

There is no single person or institution that controls all the transactions that occurs in the Forex market. Moreover, gazillion currencies are exchanging hands from all over the world and some of these currencies are more hotly traded than others. Among these hotly traded currencies are the United States Dollars, Eurozone’s Euro, Japanese Yen, British Pound Sterling, Swiss Franc, and the Australian Dollar. These are among the top currencies but the list goes on and on to cover the rest of the currencies in the world. Major markets and financial centers in Tokyo, New York, and London are among the top financial centers where currency trading happens in huge volume everyday. But each country has their own trading centers as well.

Choosing E-currency Exchange Training Courses What Should You Look For

Trading e-Currencies on the DXInOne marketplace often has a steep learning curve for most people. Sure, there are the few that can pick it up without any direction but I would not be surprised if these people had prior trading experience in stocks, bonds, options, or even FOREX.
The fact is that a large majority of people seek out training courses to learn how to trade Currency - and for good reason. After all, it is only natural for people wanting to get started making money as soon as possible, and training courses help to fill this time gap.
There are two major types of training materials available - eBook and video programs. What you choose is entirely up to your personal tastes.

Neither training format is any better than the other, and pricing of these courses usually does not correlate to the format of the course in question.
Those that choose eBook type courses prefer to learn by reading a book. These people often prefer to have a resource that they can print out to read away from the computer, take notes in the margins, or want to have an easy way to look up information. There is an index and table of contents available in the book that makes finding information incredibly easy.

Those that choose the video format for eCurrency training courses prefer to learn by watching someone else. These courses walk you through each step of the account set-up process to advanced eCurrency trading strategies all on-screen. It is just like the course trainer is standing over your shoulder and telling you which keys to press and which boxes to fill in.

FOREX: Exiting Positions at a Right Time

The presented article covers one of the most important (in author's opinion) aspects of trading in general and Forex trading in particular - managing of orders and positions. This includes choosing entry points, making decisions about exit points, stop-loss and take-profit of the trader.

I hope this article will help new traders, who just began to work with Forex, and also to experienced traders who trade regularly and regularly make or loose their money to the market
When I started to trade Forex and made my first big losses and profits I began to notice when very important thing about the whole trading process.

While the right time to enter a position was rarely a problem for myself (nearly 80% of all my open positions had gone into the "green" profit zone), the problem was hidden in the determining the right exit point for that position.

How to Make Consistent Profits Trading Futures

One of the mistakes I consistently made in my early years as a trader was to try to make too much money in relation to my trading capital. To make £1000 a day while Futures Trading with £10,000 is absurdly ambitious; of course I have done it many times, as would anyone with this intention, but I have also gone bust on more than one occasion. To have the aspiration of taking £1000 out of the market each day, when trading with £10,000 or under is, I think, a quick route to the poor house.
So what is a reasonable objective for a day / futures trader?
A few weeks ago I visited an ex-floor trader who has set up a trading operation backing young aspiring traders. I was interested to find out from him how he trains his team. The essence of his approach is to give them a grounding in discipline and confidence. He believes that confidence is one of the primary keys to success in futures trading and that confidence is a by-product of taking money out of the market.

One of the reasons he has chosen to work with young futures traders is that he wants people who have minimal financial commitments. He knows it will take a while for them to start earning an income from the business. So his belief is that if his traders can regularly take small amounts of money out of the market, their knowledge, skills and confidence will grow and in time they will become bigger traders. What is critical about this approach is that his traders do not grow in size until they have achieved consistent, regular success on a small scale; and we are talking small, I mean £25 or £50 in a day.

What can we learn from this low risk approach? Well first let me ask you: what is more important, to make money today, or to become a consistently profitable trader? Because if we want to become consistently successful traders we need to take a different tack than if we are just out to make as much money as we can today.

So back to the question, what is a reasonable objective for a day trader?
Well let’s look at bringing our daily target right down to £100, with £10,000 of trading capital, i.e. 1%. Now £100 a day, trading a market like the FTSE seems an achievable target to me. That is a net profit of 10 FTSE points a day. Can you come up with a system that trades 5 times a day and has an average net profit of 2 points? Or a system that trades 10 times a day with an average net profit of 1 point?
Is that a yes I hear? Because if you can make an average of £100 a day you will double your money in 100 trading days i.e. 20 weeks or about 5 months. If you double you position size every time you double your money, your account will grow to £1,000,000 in 140 weeks, which is less than 3 years! Of course this does not take into account the impact of tax; but my point is that by taking a low risk, conservative approach to trading objectives, we give ourselves the chance to grow and develop into traders, while also availing ourselves of the possibility of a deceptively good return.

How I became a successful part time trader

Introduction
I am Joe Chalhoub, a computer engineer, Forex trader and strategy builder. I began trading currencies 3 years ago. The first 3 months trading were complete failure, I remember I lost all my money and I was about to quit, but I couldn’t, I felt if I quit now maybe I am missing the chance of having my own business. So I stopped trading and began observing, studying, analyzing and practicing.

Observing: I began observing the market, what causes movement, reaction, ranging and trading.
Analyzing: I began working with technical and fundamental analysis; how each analysis can predict and redirect the market and how I can use them both for my own benefit. I will talk about these analyses in the following paragraph.
Reading: I bought Forex Trading Books and read them, books explaining different strategies and tactics used by experienced traders.
Practicing: I created free accounts and began trading virtually and each technique I invent I tried it and monitored its performance and validity.
After one year of studies, analysis and practicing trading techniques and after many failure and frustration I reached my own strategy and it is working very well and each month my profit is positive.

Implementation
I reached my targets and I built a successful strategy, but that’s not enough; to make profit I must not miss any opportunity and forex market is full of opportunities because it is the most active market in the world, for that reason I must sit all time and watch and detect opportunities all day long from Monday to Friday.
How to resolve this problem, I can’t sit and observe the market hours and hours, I have my career and my family, so I thought I must program my strategy, let the Information Technology do the hard work for me, and nobody is discipline as a software, so I created an artificial intelligent software which collects data from the market and implement my strategy on this data and detect opportunities 24/24.

This program analyses fundamental and technical data and generates forex signals which are forwarded automatically to my broker platform where the signals are executed automatically and forwarded also to my website members. All this is done without my interfering, I just run the program, it analyses and makes its decisions (Buying, Selling or stay aside).

How to succeed in Forex Trading
Five over hundred traders succeed in this business, what differentiate those five successful from the 95 others is one thing, it is the HARD WORK. Forex trading is not an easy business, and who tells you that he can make you rich in one night is one of those 95. Only one thing can make you a successful trader, HARD WORK, and nothing else. Don’t rely on other traders or advisors to help you, rely and have confidence on yourself.
